OPEN, Co- Chair

Ambassadors are a "welcome" committee.  The NJ Chapter believes in making sure our new members, first time members and guests feel welcome.   MPI-NJ hosts a new member Orientation meeting, preceding our monthly program, where we meet, greet and host these new members and introduce them to other MPI-NJ members.  In addition, the Ambassadors follow up by providing guidance, information and support ensuring our members have the ability to maximize their return on investment in MPI-NJ.

The Awards Committee supports MPI-NJ Leadership by assessing and keeping current the NJ Chapter’s awards program, which consists of:  Planner of the Year, Supplier of the Year, Outstanding Chapter Leader of the Year, Rising Star Award, Committee of the Year, Facility of the Year, Student Leader of the Year and Excellence in Education Award, by making recommendations and revisions to the awards program and reviewing annual award applications.

The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for finding ways to promote good-will and enhance public awareness of MPI Values through participation in humanitarian activities that reflect our diverse membership.   The Committee provides an opportunity for our members to volunteer their time, skills and creativity in the planning and delivery of events, entertainment or services to charitable organizations and worthy causes.  Some responsibilities include site selection, fundraising, securing sponsors and on-site event assistance.

The Golf Committee is responsible for the execution and coordination of a one day golf event in June that is the Chapter’s largest fund raiser.  Responsibilities include soliciting sponsors, tracking registrations, assembling program book content, logistics planning, raffle ticket sales, and on site assistance the night before and day of the event.

The Internal Communications Committee is responsible for all communications distributed to the chapter membership.  These communications include the chapter’s award winning bi-monthly newsletter, OnSite and e-Site the monthly electronic newsletter.  Committee members are responsible for soliciting and/or providing content and chapter updates for both newsletters through outreach to industry professionals.  In addition, committee members have input into the layout and editing of both publications.

The Membership Committee is responsible for member services, recruitment and retention.  Responsibilities include monthly contact with new members and guests via phone or email; following up on leads and encouraging current members to renew their memberships.  Committee communicates any issues/concerns to the leadership of the NJ Chapter and interfaces with MPI supporting any new initiatives and goals.

The PR/Marketing Committee is responsible for all publicity marketing outside the chapter, including production of press releases, marketing copy, etc. for outside publications.

Strategic Partnerships focuses on creating opportunities for potential sponsors and affinity programs.  Duties include maintaining a database of current sponsors, soliciting new sponsors and affinity partners, and coordination of donations.

The Student Committee is responsible for student membership, recruitment and retention.  Responsibilities include reaching out to prospective students.  MPI-NJ hosts a New Member Orientation meeting, preceding our monthly program, where we meet, greet and host new students and introduce them to other MPI-NJ members. The Student Committee also provides guidance, information and encourages the students to join MPI-NJ and volunteer their talents to a Committee.

 Website

OPEN, Chair

The Website Committee overlooks the care and maintenance of the MPI-NJ website. Responsibilities include creating and editing pages, creating new and updating old content, and keeping the website topical and up-to-date to the needs of the MPI-NJ membership.  All committee members will learn how to use a content management system (CMS) that is as easy as using WORD.
