This former Broadway actor is acknowledged as one of t he foremost experts in pioneering the modern event industry. Often called the King of Edutainment for his high-energy presentations he is a sought after presenter.  Currently president of BiZBash Media, Richard manages over 30 tradeshows, conferences and award shows annually in 9 markets for the organization.  Prior to that Richard was president of Mallory Factor Inc. where

he produced over 3,000 meetings and events for fortune 100 companies.

Richard was the founding president of the New York Chapter of ISES and the International Special Event Society as well as an ISES founding member.  He established the first charitable foundation named The SEARCH Foundation for the Event Industry and has served on the boards of The MPI Education and ISES Education Foundation.  Richard has served on both the MPI’s and ISES’s International Board of Directors. Richard was named event guru by Meeting News Magazine as one of the most influential hospitality professional in the nation and named to their most influential list in hospitality for several years by that publication.

Richard is an adjunct associate professor at New York University Tisch Center for Hospitality where he teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses.  He developed the first online event management courses and other curricula in hospitality. Richard had chaired the Convention Industry Council’s APEX Education Advisory Council in 2007- 2008 comprised with University hospitality department directors from across the US.

Richard remains one of the highest rated speakers at MPI, SITE, NACE, HSMAI, and PCMA delivering MPI Platinum series speeches across the Americas. He is quoted as an expert in the New York Times, Inc., People Magazine, USA Today and numerous industry publications as an authority on Events. Richard has been named MPI’s International Planner of the Year and Event Solution’s Visionary and was recently inducted into the NY MPI Hall of Fame and most recently a recipient of the newest MPI  RISE awards for continued professional innovation. He serves on numerous boards such as the Sylvia foundation and SEARCH President’s advisory board.
