JANET R. PICKOVER, CMP
Janet R. Pickover, CMP has been running her meeting management company, JR Associates, for over twenty-five years JR Associates now offers consulting and lecture services to benefit her clients.
Janet R. Pickover CMP is a recognized leader in the industry. She writes articles and lectures on meeting management topics. She has presented programs at various conferences including Affordable Meetings, Society of Government Meeting Professionals, Clemson University, the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, American Business Women's Association, Meeting Professionals International, Sales and Marketing Executive Association, Meeting World and several other associations. Keeping current, Janet is presenting her programs via Webinars for the industry.
Janet participated as an instructor for the Meeting and Conference Management Certificate Program sponsored by Meeting Professionals Intemational-NJ Chapter and Kean University. Early in her career, NJ Monthly Magazine selected Janet as one of the outstanding 84 business people in the state.
Janet is a former President of MPI - New Jersey Chapter and is currently the chair of the Past Presidents Council. In 2005, Janet served as chair of MPI NJ Chapter’s 20th Anniversary Celebration. Janet is the recipient of the MPI NJ Chapter’s 2006 Planner of the Year award and a former recipient of the Chapter Manager of the Year Award.
Her articles have appeared in Meeting Manager, Meetings & Conventions, the Metro-area Meeting Planning Guide, Insurance Meetings Management and Corporate and Incentive Travel, as well as being quoted in Selling Power and the New York Times.
Believing in giving back to the community, while combing her meeting planning skills and her love of ballroom dancing, Janet currently serves as logistic chair for a nonprofit organization’s annual Care to Dance fund raiser. Janet recently became a SCORE counselor in the Princeton Chapter.
