MENTORING PROGRAM

MPI New Jersey and the participating Past Presidents have made a commitment to excellence in service for its members.  In keeping with that goal, MPI New Jersey Chapter has established a Mentoring Program.    

MPI New Jersey Chapter’s mentoring program is available to all current members to enhance their professional and career goals.   

Guidelines:

  A.   Participant Qualifications
 
      1.  Mentees must currently be a member in good standing of MPI New Jersey
           Chapter.
 
      2.  Mentors are participating Past Presidents of MPI New Jersey and have
           current memberships in MPI in good standing.    Biographies for each Mentor
               are listed below.
 
 B.   General Rules
 
      1.  Contact   
 
           a.  Mentees will select and contact the Mentor of their choice.
           b.  Mentees will submit their biography and goals of the mentoring session to   
               the Mentor.  (View Initial Meeting Worksheet form) 
 
      2.  Solicitation
 
          a.  Solicitation, marketing or sales of goods and services by either the Mentor
                or Mentee is strictly prohibited.
 
      3.  Confidentiality
 
          a.  All discussions are for informational purposes and are confidential.
 
      4.  Timeframe
 
          a.   Mentor and Mentee will establish when and how to meet.
          b.   The length of the process will not exceed 3 months.
 
      5.  Evaluation
 
          a.  After completing the Mentoring Program, each Mentee and Mentor will fill out
              an Evaluation form.   (View form) and submit a copy to the Mentoring       
              Program Chairperson.
 
      6.  Any expenses incurred by Mentor or Mentee while participating in this
           program are the sole responsibility of the individuals involved and not MPI-NJ.
 
      7.   Mentors working with a Mentee will have the word "mentoring" next to their
            name.  If a Mentor is available, the word "available" will be next to their
            name.
