President's Message

Good Day NJ MPI,

It is my great pleasure to lead this association in the 2010-2011 year, our chapter’s 25^th year.  The chapter and the international association continue to evolve and adapt to our ever changing industry.

The focus of our association from this day forward can be summarized in three words; connect, educate, advance.   The personal commitment of each one of our board members is assisting with the active member connections that our immediate past president, Joanne Joham, really challenged our board with during her term.  It is the role of the board to welcome new members and assist all members with making introductions and connections.  Please don’t hesitate to call on us.

Education is really the greatest value that we deliver and where our individual members can calculate the personal ROI of their membership investment.  Each year we challenge our education committee to raise the bar on the programs and speakers we bring to our monthly meetings.  The committee works year round soliciting ideas from our members and tracking the major industry trends and hot topics to bring to the chapter.  This year I have challenged the committee to bring more niche topics to our education plan.  It might mean that you learn about something you didn’t know you were curious about!

Advancing our industry takes a commitment from each one of us who is passionate about this business and sees themselves as a professional.  It means obtaining industry designations such as the CMP and CMM, participating in the major industry shows like IMEX America and WEC.  It means continuing to network and be generous with introductions and connections.
